Ziggy Alberts has released his seventh studio album, Twin Flames, alongside a new music video for Valerie.

The independent Australian songwriter reunites with longtime producer and collaborator Garrett Kato for a record that brings Americana textures into his familiar folk and surf-influenced sound. Its themes explore connection, introspection and the pull between light and dark emotional moments.

Twin Flames includes previously released tracks Cyclones, I Need My Woman and I Blame Myself. Other songs include Big Black Dog, Strangers, Come And Go and Graceland, with Valerie highlighting Alberts’ vocals and the album’s expanding musical palette.

The Valerie video was captured by Wilzen Crawford during a trip to Western Australia with friends.

Community has been central to the release. Vintage rotary phones at independent cafes in more than 35 locations around the world let fans preview songs and choose a favourite, with I Need My Woman winning the vote. Album events in cities including Sydney and Melbourne have brought listeners together through surfing, coffee and other shared experiences.

Alberts recorded Twin Flames almost two years ago, between world tours and before the release of his previous album New Love. The title reflects the unexplained connections people can feel with one another and with places.

Twin Flames is out now.
