POLISH CLUB - Meet Me At The Iguana Tour

POLISH CLUB - Meet Me At The Iguana Tour

COME PARTY WITH US!

Polish Club's "Meet Me At The Iguana" Tour, with special guests Approachable Members Of Your Local Community & Stupid Baby.

A lot of drinking, soul-searching and the decision to stop worrying about it all and just write some giant fuck-off rock songs.

‘We Don’t Care’ is the Polish Club’s latest single from second album ‘Iguana’ to be released on June 7, and joins previous tasty slice, ‘Clarity’, which has now become the blueprint for their revitalised, wall-to-wall sound.

The track marks a definitive moment for the band, somehow still managing the trick of sounding exactly like Polish Club, yet distinctly different.

“I think we’re forcing ourselves to do something that isn’t our first instinct but is creatively something we want,” says frontman and guitarist Novak. “We’re not trying too hard to make it super cool or whatever. I don’t really care about that anymore.”

With a whole new album’s worth of new music to play with, they’re touring the country with a whole new set on their biggest tour yet. Ready your ears for a brasher, more honest and completely levelled-up Polish Club.

BOY & BEAR

BOY & BEAR

JUST TRY AND HOLD YOUR NERVE!

Boy & Bear set the social media scene abuzz last month after teasing fans of new music and a Sydney showcase. The wait is now over with the band returning with a triumphant new single, ‘Hold Your Nerve’, their first new music since the release of the soon to be platinum, #1 ARIA album, Limit of Love (2015).

Along with the release of ‘Hold Your Nerve’, the five-time’s ARIA winners have announced their global tour beginning with headline shows in Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney in August then shows in North America, UK and Europe.  Tickets for the 'Hold Your Nerve Global Tour' are onsale from www.boyandbear.com

After the most tumultuous period of the band’s lives both personally and professionally, ‘Hold Your Nerve’ is an upbeat, optimistic song in which the group channel their trademark penchant for organic, seventies sounds into one of their most direct, modern and addictive songs to date.

Produced by Boy & Bear and Collin Dupuis (The Black Keys; Lana Del Rey) and mixed by Tom Elmhirst (Amy Winehouse, Beck, Adele), the single is the first taste of their fourth studio album penciled for a release later this year. Even though on the surface ‘Hold Your Nerve’ charts the story of front-man Dave Hosking and his current partner’s failed first attempt at their relationship, dig deeper and it reveals the backdrop of a debilitating illness front-man Dave Hosking has been dealing with since 2011.

Showing early symptoms of exhaustion – Dave was initially misdiagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and then depression and anxiety. The symptoms soon intensified to include cognitive issues which robbed Hosking of the ability to piece together lyrics and write songs. Hosking’s struggled whilst writing and recording Limit of Love and as his health continued to decline he noticed a deterioration in his eyesight and a constant ringing in his ears.

After working with a myriad of specialist’s, hope came in late-2015 when doctors detected a gut bacterial issue that has been poisoning his nervous system. Medication and a radical alteration of his diet offered minor improvements, to the point where he could commit to touring Limit of Love. By the end of the cycle, however, Hosking had deteriorated further.

For an act at the peak of their career, with a #1 album in Australia and selling out venues such as the Hordern Pavilion and Riverstage, the band made the decision to take 2017-18 off the road to give Dave time to focus on his health. it was a decision fraught with uncertainty and anxiety. But there was no question that Hosking's wellbeing was the priority. Whereby Limit of Love was written collaboratively, the band spent months of 2017-18 trying out new writing ideas as Hosking rode an emotional and physical rollercoaster.

Dave made significant progress during this period when he was introduced to a new treatment, called Faecal Microbiota Transplant (FMT). Also known as a stool transplant, FMT is the process of transplanting faecal bacteria from a healthy person into a recipient. His donor, Harry was brought to Nashville for the writing and recording of the new album.

WATCH BOY & BEAR ‘MAKING OF HOLD YOUR NERVE’ TRAILER

Prior to the FMT treatment, Hosking had been unable to conjure lyrics or remember melodies long enough to put them to use. For the first time since recording Limit of Love, he experienced enough relief to allow him to contribute to the songwriting sessions for the new album.

While Dave’s health remains a work in progress, both he and the band can finally look to the future with optimism. ‘Hold Your Nerve’ is their first step back into the light.

PALAYE ROYALE

PALAYE ROYALE

WELCOME TO SOLDIERS OF THE ROYAL COUNCIL!

“The Hottest Band of 2018” (English Music Press) Who could have been bestowed such an honour you ask? The answer is Canadian fashion-rockers PALAYE ROYALE!

Palaye Royale (Remington Leith – Vocals, Sebastian Danzig – Guitar/Organ and Emerson Barrett - Drums) are making a triumphant return to Australia this September playing their first ever headline shows in Australia after the huge success of their debut visit down under for the inaugural Good Things Festival last December.

“The band’s first time in Australia will surely be remembered” That’s what Hysteria Magazine reported after the band conquered Good Things Festival, so what makes Palaye Royale so memorable? On the band’s official website they’re describes as “a shot of adrenaline into the modern musical landscapes” and as having “reckless performances”, “a visual flair” and “summoning a thrilling spirit”. Palaye Royale have already summoned a devoted fan base often reserved for band’s of the of My Chemical Romance and Twenty One Pilots, and it’s little wonder why.

As soon as you hit play on the band’s top songs like ‘Don’t Feel Quite Right’ and ‘Mr. Doctor Man’ your instantly enveloped by a flurry of electrifying riffs driving super-charged thumping beats and anthemic vocal hooks yet yearn for the justice of a stereo’s volume at max! Palaye Roayle not only draw influences and inspiration from their musical peers and muses, but also as much from cinema and philosophy, bringing a thrilling and unique new aspect to modern rock.

“If you want theatrics, these boys deliver in spades – and not just in their headline-grabbing threads and eye-popping stage show.” (Classic Rock Magazine) To summarise, If anyone dares to say rock is dead, Palaye Royale prove otherwise!

MONTAIGNE

MONTAIGNE

ARE YOU READY?

READY is not just Montaigne's most anthemic single to date, it's an anthem with something to say.

"I was so reluctant to take ownership of it at first was so far I've been the self deprecating tortured artist who's talked about my neurosis, whereas this song is 'I believe in myself' and 'I'm ready to utilise my abilities'. That's something I've been working hard to finesse.

"Putting a song out about self worth now, I'm in a place where I do think that much about myself, I work really hard every day to be really good at what I do, I've earned that confidence.”

There's also a Trojan Horse factor buried in the lyrics of Ready.

Sure it's booming pop song on the surface with that killer motivational chorus to remind yourself to stay on the grind ("I think I'm ready and I'm at the edge of the cliff, so let's begin..") and some seriously brilliant vocals. But in the song's final verse Montaigne sings "take me to the final stage, gimme gimme equal wage, I am no longer afraid.”

THE TEMPER TRAP - 'Conditions' 10th Anniversary Tour

THE TEMPER TRAP - 'Conditions' 10th Anniversary Tour

WHAT A SWEET DISPOSITION!

It was the summer of 2009 and across the lands – near and afar – the sound of ‘Sweeeeeeeet Dis-PO-sition’ rang out – on radios, at festivals, in Hollywood films, and at sold out venues. It was the song that launched Melbourne band The Temper Trap onto the world stage and it was the first taste of their stunning debut album Conditions (which incidentally was released on June 19, 2009 – exactly 10 years ago today).

To celebrate the release of this now iconic album, The Temper Trap today confirmed that they’ll be undertaking a Conditions 10th Anniversary Tour, with intimate and limited shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. Kicking off in their home town of Melbourne on December 4, Australian fans will be treated to a night of absolute nostalgia as Conditions is played out live in its entirety.

In further exciting news, the band have confirmed the release of Conditions on limited edition white vinyl (out July 19 through Liberation Records), featuring a commemorative inner sleeve with imagery from the early days of the band’s career. Available for pre-orderfrom today, this special issue is a must-have for any vinyl collector.

The success of atmospheric anthem ‘Sweet Disposition’ is indisputable, with 5x Platinum sales in Australia, 3x Platinum sales in the UK (1 million+ sales), and Platinum sales in the United States (1 million+ sales). The single has, to date, clocked up more than 225 million streams on Spotify alone.

Follow up hit singles ‘Fader’ (2x Platinum) and ‘Love Lost’ (Platinum), firmly cemented the band’s rise, seeing the once unknown group debut with Conditions into the Top 10 on the ARIA charts and Top 30 in the UK. The album is now certified Double Platinum in Australia, Gold in the UK and has sold over 750,000 units globally. It went on to win ARIA Awards for Best Group and Most Popular Australian Single for ‘Sweet Disposition’ and the APRA Award for Song Of The Year in 2010, also receiving a 2011 nomination for Best International Breakthrough Artist at the UK Brit Awards.

Since Conditions launched The Temper Trap onto the global stage the band have moved overseas, started families, confirmed tour muso Joseph Greer as an official band member, performed on main stages of some of the biggest festivals in the world, released a further two #1 ARIA Albums, announced the departure of Lorenzo Sillitto from the band, and extensively toured around the world.

Don’t miss out on tickets to see The Temper Trap perform these very special Conditions shows. Frontier Members pre-sale starts June 25 and tickets go on sale from June 28.

HALESTORM w/ Black Stone Cherry

HALESTORM w/ Black Stone Cherry

VICIOUS!

Hard rock juggernaut HALESTORM are delighted to announce plans for their December 2019 Australian headline tour, presented by MJR Presents by arrangement with UTA. Recently in Australia for the second annual Download Festival Australia, they will return down under with special guests Black Stone Cherry to bring the ruckus!

Wall of Sound saw Halestorm at Download Festival Australia and proclaimed that "The four-piece from Pennsylvania brought the mayhem to Australia. Horns up were demanded by the self-described crazy chick on stage, with fans responding accordingly." and The Guardian praised the Download Festival show and Hale in particular, saying "Few voices in rock are as dynamic as Lzzy Hale’s. Her range takes lesser bands to the cleaners and then tosses them roadside from a 1972 Pontiac."

BASTILLE - Doom Days Tour, part 2

BASTILLE - Doom Days Tour, part 2

THIS WILL MAKE YOU HAPPIER!

Frontier Touring is over the moon to announce the return of British pop superstars Bastille to Australia and New Zealand at the beginning of next year on the Doom Days Tour, Part 2. Visiting Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth in January and February 2020, this tour will be fans’ first chance to hear the band’s third studio album Doom Days performed live.

Kicking off in Auckland on Thursday 23 January at Spark Arena, Bastille will head across the ditch to the Gold Coast on Saturday 25 January, taking on Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Monday 27 January, Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne on Thursday 30 January and AEC Theatre in Adelaide on Sunday 2 February, before wrapping up the tour on Tuesday 4 February at Perth’s HBF Stadium.

Frontier Members will have early ticket access in their 24-hour pre-sale from Thursday 13 June (2pm AEST / 2pm NZST), before tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday 17 June (10am local time - AU shows / 12noon NZST).

Bastille’s third studio album Doom Days drops on Friday 14 June via EMI Music Australia (pre-order here). Featuring the massive first single ‘Quarter Past Midnight’, title track ‘Doom Days’, latest single ‘Joy’ (and its hilarious video clip), and the freshly-released new cut ‘Those Nights’, Doom Days is their most confident record yet. It tackles many of today’s most pressing political and social issues, while maintaining a personal angle throughout. Lyrically provocative and sonically diverse, it draws on influences in gospel, house, R&B, and more, as well as incorporating instrumentation inspired by their acclaimed ReOrchestrated tour.

“It’s a dance record but on our terms,” Dan says. “I’ve called it an apocalyptic party record but a party for us is all-nighters with your mates, not popping bottles in the club. It’s very British: rough around the edges.”

Recorded throughout 2018 in their South London studio, ‘One Eyed Jack’s’, by Dan Smith with bandmates Kyle Simmons, Will Farquarson and Chris ‘Woody’ Wood, plus producer Mark Crew, it sees the Grammy-nominated, Brit-winning four-piece stretch out and open-up like never before.

‘As pessimistic as it sounds, if this is the end of days we want to be in Bastille’s bunker, dancing to their anthemic stadium bangers until the bitter end.’ - MTV

Now, they’re bringing the party to us. Don’t miss your chance to see Doom Days in the flesh this summer - tickets will not last long.
