Skid Row have announced Justin Sargent as their new lead singer, opening a new chapter as the New Jersey hard rock band celebrates its 40th anniversary.
The appointment follows more than two years away from the stage and an international search. Sargent first caught the band’s attention last year, with months of conversations and rehearsals confirming the fit. The search also included a partnership with music retailer Sweetwater earlier this year.
To introduce the new lineup, the band has released a cover of The Who’s “Won’t Get Fooled Again”, accompanied by a video directed by Dale “Rage” Resteghini.
The recording was produced by Nick Raskulinecz, reuniting Skid Row with the producer of their 2022 album The Gang’s All Here. A limited, hand-signed 7-inch single is also available to pre-order, with just 500 copies worldwide.
Formed in 1986, Skid Row built their reputation with songs including “18 and Life”, “I Remember You”, “Youth Gone Wild” and “Slave to the Grind”. Sargent now joins the band as it prepares to return to the stage.
