Jebediah’s story is heading beyond the stage in Are We OK?, a documentary looking at the friendships and pressures behind the Perth band’s long career.

Tone Deaf reports that the film’s opening scenes have been shared through Rolling Stone AU/NZ, giving fans an early look at its mix of personal reflection and archive material.

Director Arlo Dean Cook followed Kevin Mitchell, Brett Mitchell, Vanessa Thornton and Chris Daymond over 11 years. The documentary explores how their connection has evolved alongside family commitments, money worries and changes in the music business, while also addressing addiction and recovery.

Alongside footage from the band’s past, the film includes contributions from familiar Australian music figures, including Dylan Lewis and Richard Kingsmill. It premiered at the 2026 Melbourne International Film Festival and has been screening around Australia with accompanying Q&A events.

For fans who have grown up with Jebediah, this offers a chance to discover the people behind the songs.
