Could Powderfinger bring their reunion celebrations to rugby league’s biggest night? The Brisbane band have signalled they are open to performing at the 2027 NRL Grand Final.
During Triple M Breakfast on Monday, host Aaron Woods raised the possibility of a Grand Final appearance. Bernard Fanning responded: “Sure, give us a call, V’landys.”
The exchange gives fans another reason to get excited about the band’s return, with their confirmed reunion tour including Sydney shows around the Grand Final weekend.
A performance has not been announced or confirmed. For now, the news is the band’s public willingness to take part, rather than an official NRL entertainment booking.
