Strummingbird Festival Returns In 2026 With Post Malone Leading Massive Country Music Line-Up

Australia's newest country music festival is back for 2026, and it's coming back bigger than ever.

Following a hugely successful debut, Strummingbird Festival returns this October with three dates across Ballarat, Newcastle and the Sunshine Coast, bringing together one of the strongest country line-ups to hit Australian shores in recent years. Headlining the festival is global superstar Post Malone, joined by country favourites Bailey Zimmerman, Cooper Alan, Brad Cox, Sons Of The East and many more.

The 2026 edition also marks a significant change for the festival, with Ballarat joining the route as a brand-new Victorian stop while Newcastle and the Sunshine Coast return after helping establish the festival's reputation during its inaugural run.

A Festival Built For Modern Country Fans

Since launching in 2025, Strummingbird has quickly established itself as one of Australia's premier country music festivals, blending major international artists with homegrown talent and creating a uniquely Australian festival atmosphere. The event combines live music, line dancing, food, drinks and country culture into a full-day experience designed for both hardcore country fans and newcomers to the genre.

The addition of Ballarat for 2026 demonstrates the festival's continued growth, bringing the event to another passionate regional music community while maintaining its focus on creating unforgettable experiences outside Australia's capital cities.

Tickets

Ticket requests opened in May, with presale and general public tickets now available. Festival organisers are encouraging fans to secure tickets early, with demand expected to be high following the announcement of Post Malone as the 2026 headliner.

Whether you're a long-time country music fan or simply looking for a massive festival experience, Strummingbird 2026 is shaping up to be one of Australia's must-see music events of the year.
