Australian/Finnish progressive dark metal band The Eternal have released a lyric video for “Obscured Horizons”, the title track of their eighth studio album, out now through Reigning Phoenix Music.
The song brings the record’s progressive side into focus, combining intricate guitars, atmospheric passages and haunting melodies with a sense of melancholy and hope. It follows the band’s September Australian tour supporting Amorphis in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra.
Released on 18 September 2026, Obscured Horizons explores disillusionment, fractured identity and the search for clarity. Mark Kelson and Richie Poate in Melbourne join Helsinki-based Niclas Etelävuori and Jan Rechberger, with Kelson and Rechberger producing the record.
The album is available on CD, vinyl and digitally. The Eternal will also perform at Kesä Mössö in Lahti, Finland in June 2027 alongside Amorphis and D-A-D.
