Ziggy Alberts is turning a story of family and the ocean into his first children’s book. No Fin Steve, illustrated by Claire Tompkins, will be released on 10 November 2026.

Set on Norfolk Island, the book follows a grandfather and grandson and their shared connection to the sea. Inspired by a family close to Alberts, the story celebrates trust, independence and the confidence to learn to swim.

The book follows Alberts’ two self-published poetry collections, brainwaves and sun memos. His seventh studio album, Twin Flames, was released on 16 October and has passed four million streams, according to the announcement.

To celebrate the book and album, Alberts will play a free, family-friendly pop-up show for the Norfolk Island community at Salty Beer Garden on Saturday 14 November.
