Electronic artist Redfreya has released “Different Now”, the second release on Pattn’s Repetitive Nature label. Released on 21 October, the track pairs atmospheric production with melancholic vocals.
The label connects music and visual art with celestial events, timing this release to the Orionid meteor shower. Redfreya describes the song as a personal response to a year of loss, change and life between countries.
Toronto designer Liam Warr provides the visual component, using distorted geometric forms to interpret the track’s atmosphere. Redfreya previously played the song as the closing track of her set at the label’s launch party at fabric.
